We know QuickBooks from the inside out—as “insiders” through our combined 13 years’ experience at Intuit, and from the outside as small business owners who use the software every day to help us run our business.

During our time at Intuit, we worked in technical support, as product managers, and as QuickBooks trainers. These roles gave us an intimate technical knowledge of the product’s features and capabilities.

Since then, we’ve added another dimension to our understanding of how businesses can get the most out of QuickBooks. In our five years operating Accounting Cycle, we’ve picked up a lot of applied, practical experience and tips for optimizing the capabilities and quality of the information QuickBooks can provide to business owners.

Thanks to this inside-out perspective, there isn’t much we don’t know about QuickBooks—and our goal is to share our experience with other small business owners. We’ve helped companies in a range of industries, including retail, home building, welding, social media, accounting, architecture, and engineering.

Lloyd Spencer

Lloyd has spent the past twelve years learning everything there was to know about QuickBooks®. He has the rare ability to communicate this knowledge effectively to those he trains. Lloyd worked for 8 years at Intuit Canada, he held several key positions in areas such as technical support, QuickBooks® Quality Assurance and served as the QuickBooks® ProAdvisor manager.

Matthew Peterson

Matthew loves owning a small business that helps other small business. Prior to owning Accounting Cycle, Matthew worked at Intuit Canada where he led the QuickBooks® Technical Support team and served as the Pro Advisor trainer. As a result, Matthew gained insight into the accounting needs of small business.

Duretta Bradfield

Duretta Bradfield is a business and accounting advisor specializing in the set up, maintenance and training of accounting and bookkeeping procedures. With more than 23 years of experience in the accounting field, Duretta has worked with hundreds of different small to mid sized businesses. Duretta provides Quickbooks training, Payroll training and general business workshops in Alberta.

Duretta has a Diploma in Accounting & Finance from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and is a member of the Canadian Payroll association.
